Veteran-Owned Law Firm Assisting Veterans with Legal Services Across the United States
Nearly forty years ago William A. White (Bill) started his own private law firm before his children joined him and they formed South Sound Law Group. We are a family owned and run law firm and so we practice law a bit differently than other firms because our literal family reputation is on the line. We believe the practice of law is a relationship between the attorney and the client and not just simply a transaction of money for services. We want to be your trusted legal adviser for life. We want to be the family you turn to when you need help. Contact us today and let us get to work helping you.
Do I Need An Attorney?
The simple honest answer is, “It depends.” Not every legal situation requires the help of an attorney, but most do.
Anyone could try to fix the transmission in their own car, rewire the electrical in their own house, or remove their own appendix, but why do most people choose to hire an experienced professional? Because no one wants their car to break down on the freeway, their house to burn down, or perform their own surgery.
The law is complicated and the risks to you can include your freedom from jail, your loss of employment, loss of your driver’s license, or proper compensation for you to heal after an accident. Do you want to be responsible for these consequences?

If So, What Type Of Attorney Do I Need?
A good one. You need someone who regularly practices in the specific area of law your case involves. You need someone who is familiar with the specific policies and procedures of the court your case is in. You need someone who is a trial attorney. Someone who has actually been to trial, who’s not afraid of trial, and will go to trial to fight for you.
You need someone who has the education, training, experience, passion, and resources to successfully handle your case. You need an attorney that listens to your concerns and questions and takes the time to fully explain your options. You need an attorney that will help guide you through the entire process and not just talk to you in court. Here at South Sound Law Group we’ve earned our reputation for providing excellent customer service and great results.
How Much Does A Lawyer Cost?
It depends. Although there are some similarities among all cases, each case is unique. The fees will depend on the type of case and its complexity.
Generally, in criminal and traffic cases fees are done on a flat-fee basis. A flat-fee is a set price for a specific amount of work.
Usually, in personal injury cases, the fee is a contingency fee. A contingency fee means that you don’t pay an attorney fee unless the attorney recovers for you. In each case, your fee will be quoted during your free initial consultation. Remember, while lawyers can be expensive, not hiring a lawyer can cost you more than just money.
Who Should I Hire?
We made a promise to ourselves and our clients a long time ago about the type of attorneys we were going to be, and it didn’t involve doing just enough to get by or putting our interests ahead of our clients. The truth is, when you hire an attorney, you are handing over more than just your hard-earned money, you are putting your trust, your livelihood, and possibly even your freedom in our hands. This is a fact we don’t take lightly.
That’s why our goal with every case is to provide more than just legal representation, we strive to give you peace of mind. We love the fact that another name for an attorney is a counselor. Our approach gives us a sense of pride, and an added benefit because our business exists almost entirely from referrals from past clients.
We are a family firm, so our name is on the line. We believe in legacy over transactions. We want to be your trusted legal adviser for the rest of your life.
